Nordik makes houses and retreats that grow from site, light and material. We take on few projects each year and work in close dialogue with clients and local craft to reach lasting results.

Studio Practice
We favour decisive sketches and physical models to test proportion and light, and early sample boards and mock-ups to make material choices tangible. Local craft is integral to the work; we routinely engage regional stonemasons, joiners and builders who understand place and material.
Technical systems are kept as simple as possible: robustness is prioritised over complexity and measured restraint is applied to all installations.
Collaboration with specialist consultants is focused and pragmatic - structural engineers, coastal or geotechnical advisors, and landscape consultants are called in to resolve specific constraints rather than to reframe the project.
